Prologue

In 1980, the personal computer was famously categorized as a "bicycle for the mind." This was not merely a comment on computational efficiency; it was a profound declaration of digital sovereignty. Prior to the PC revolution, a "computer" was a room-sized leviathan locked within an institution. The user was a supplicant, begging for fractional timeshares via dumb terminals. The personal computer decentralized that power, placing the engine directly on the desk of the individual.

Over the last decade, we have quietly orchestrated a systemic regression. As data evolved into "Big Data" and deterministic logic was eclipsed by centralized frontier artificial intelligence, the architectural gravity shifted entirely back to the mainframe.
